Evalueserve is a leading technology-enhanced managed services provider. It is a pioneer of India’s Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) industry, estimated to grow to $11.2 billion in 2010-11.

Su-Kam Power Systems is a leading power solutions company that challenged the status quo in power backup systems in India, that were marked only by generator sets. It created reliable, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions for power backup, organising a highly fragmented sector of gen-sets and other low quality products.

Kirloskar Brothers Limited

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) is a world-class pump manufacturing company with expertise in the engineering and manufacturing of fluid management systems. It completely broke through the centuries-old problem of dealing with syphoning systems and air pockets—ultimately benefiting the Sardar Sarovar Dam project. By making water available in its most arid regions (Saurashtra and Kutch), the innovation played a part in uplifting nearly 60% of Gujarat’s population.

Titan Industries is a reputed Indian brand that specialises in manufacturing fashion accessories such as jewellery, watches, and eyewear. It has created the world’s slimmest watch, perfected over many years of innovation.

Motor Industries Company

Motor Industries Company Ltd. (MICO) specialises in manufacturing and supplying automotive parts and components. The organisation manufactured engines compliant with Euro 4 and Euro 6 emission norms, while providing the same benefit as traditional engines, for as little as 45 Euros or around INR 2,880 (cost of pump).

Ecoflo Irrigation

Bhinge Brothers is a Nasik-based organisation that manufactures and supplies a complete range of irrigation systems and manual pumps for the upliftment of small and marginal farmers across the world. The organisation innovated a pump that is virtually noiseless and does not use any power. It was also designed to be extremely affordable; priced at INR 2,400 as opposed to the regular pumps costing between INR 7,500-8,000.

 

Special Award – Social

Azim Premji Foundation

The Azim Premji Foundation is a charitable non-profit organisation focussing on improving the school education system in India, particularly in disadvantaged areas of the country. The Foundation was presented with a Special Award for scaling up its efforts in covering education for 50,000 schools across five states.

Global Gamechanger

Tata Motors

Tata Motors is one of India’s leading automotive companies that produces cars, trucks, buses, and electric vehicles. It undertook the design and launch of Tata Nano, India’s most affordable hatchback ever. Costing just INR 1,00,000 at launch, it was a frugal yet disruptive innovation that aimed to make cars affordable to the masses.
